Netflix is launching a new docuseries, ReMastered, that will dig into the big mysteries of music history. Its first episode (or ‘track’, as Netflix will call them) will be focused on the attempted Bob Marley assassination, and is set to debut October 12th. Netflix’s release strategy for ReMastered will be novel for the company, issuing a new episode each month rather than a single large binge dump.

The Marley episode, “Who Shot The Sheriff?”, will explore conspiracy theories around the Marley shooting. The second episode of the series will focus on a mysterious meeting between Richard Nixon and Johnny Cash, while the third will attempt to explore who killed Jam Master Jay. Future episodes will explore the deaths of Sam Cooke and of Chilean singer Victor Jara, and the last slated episode regards the authorship of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.
